Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to secondary-aged pupils with diverse and complex Special Educational Needs.
* Assist class teachers in preparing and delivering differentiated learning activities and resources.
* Cultivate a positive, nurturing, and secure environment that encourages pupil engagement and progress.
* Actively promote the development of independence and essential life skills among students.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Observe and record pupil progress, contributing valuable insights to reviews and assessments.
About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting young people with complex Special Educational Needs, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* A compassionate and patient approach to supporting individual pupil development is essential.
* You exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong rapport with students and colleagues.
* A proactive and adaptable work ethic, capable of responding to varied classroom needs, is highly valued.
