About the Role

A forward-thinking school nestled in the vibrant South East, within Berkshire, is actively seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join its supportive team. This essential role involves overseeing classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring learning continues uninterrupted for our secondary phase students. We are seeking individuals to provide flexible opportunities ranging from daily supply to more sustained long-term roles, with the possibility of permanent contracts, commencing as soon as possible. Successful candidates will earn between £145 and £160 per day, making a significant contribution to our inclusive learning community.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the assigned teacher.
* Ensure students remain focused on pre-set work, providing guidance as needed.
* Maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment in the classroom.
* Manage student behaviour effectively, always upholding school policies and procedures.
* Provide general assistance to students, fostering their independent learning and engagement.
* Communicate any significant issues or achievements to the relevant teaching staff and leadership.

About You

* You possess previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport quickly.
* You are confident and capable of managing a classroom, inspiring respect and cooperation.
* You exhibit a proactive, adaptable, and resilient approach to daily challenges.
* You are highly organised and punctual, consistently arriving prepared for duties.
* You are deeply committed to fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere for all students.
