About the Role
In a progressive school, we are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Cover Supervisor to play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of learning and a positive educational environment. This is an exceptional opportunity for an adaptable individual to support student progress across various subjects, ensuring that cover lessons are productive and engaging. You will be instrumental in upholding classroom standards and fostering a respectful atmosphere for all learners, contributing significantly to the daily rhythm of school life within this vibrant South East setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Effectively deliver pre-prepared work to classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour proactively, ensuring a focused and orderly learning environment.
• Supervise students to ensure their safety and welfare at all times during lesson time.
• Respond to immediate questions or issues from students, seeking appropriate support when necessary.
• Accurately complete registration details and report any incidents according to school policy.
• Encourage student engagement with tasks, promoting independent learning and positive participation.

About You
• Proven experience working with young people in a secondary school context.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport quickly.
• A proactive and confident approach to behaviour management and classroom control.
• Highly adaptable and resilient, comfortable working across different year groups and subjects.
• Committed to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Possesses a genuine enthusiasm for supporting student development and educational outcomes.
