Join a dynamic school dedicated to providing exceptional education for primary-aged children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to start as soon as possible, with flexible contract options available including long-term, daily supply, or permanent placements. This vital role involves delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, expertly building therapeutic relationships with pupils, and effectively managing challenging behaviours to foster a positive learning environment. You will play a crucial part in supporting pupils' academic and personal development within a specialist setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons specifically designed for primary pupils with SEMH.
* Cultivate strong, therapeutic relationships with every child, promoting trust and emotional well-being.
* Implement effective and consistent behaviour management strategies within a supportive framework.
* Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Assess pupil progress regularly and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other professionals to maximise pupil outcomes.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for primary education.
* Demonstrate proven experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful rapport with pupils.
* Show resilience, patience, and a calm approach to complex behavioural challenges.
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all young people.
* Possess a proactive and adaptable mindset, keen to contribute positively to a dedicated team.
