About the Role:
Join a supportive and dynamic secondary school in Leighton Buzzard as a Teacher of Music for a 1-year fixed-term maternity cover starting in September 2026. This full-time role involves teaching Music across KS4–KS5, with a focus on Commercial Music. You'll have the chance to inspire students through engaging, high-quality lessons and participate actively in the school’s vibrant music department, which offers a range of extra-curricular opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Music to students at KS4 and KS5, including Commercial Music.
• Deliver dynamic and engaging lessons with a focus on achieving strong outcomes.
• Participate in the music department’s extra-curricular activities, including clubs and the school's annual production.
• Contribute positively to the school community and foster a love for music among students.

About You:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
• Have experience teaching Music at KS4, with KS5 experience being desirable.
• Possess strong subject knowledge, including proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAW).
• Exhibit confident classroom management skills.
• Maintain a stable employment history with evidence of career progression.
• Show a passion for high standards of teaching and school involvement.
