About the Role
A innovative school in the South East is actively seeking an inspiring Design & Technology Teacher to join its vibrant secondary team on a long-term, permanent contract. This challenging role offers a fantastic opportunity to shape the creative and practical abilities of young learners, fostering a passion for design and making. You will be instrumental in delivering an engaging curriculum, encouraging students to push boundaries and realise their full potential in a dynamic mainstream educational setting. The position is open to dedicated Early Career Teachers (ECTs), as well as experienced professionals at Main Pay Scale (MPS) and Upper Pay Scale (UPS), looking to start in September or sooner.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver stimulating DT lessons that challenge pupils across Key Stages.
* Inspire students to develop innovative design solutions and practical fabrication skills.
* Effectively manage a well-equipped workshop, ensuring safety and optimal resource utilisation.
* Accurately assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to drive improvement.
* Contribute proactively to the ongoing development and enhancement of the DT curriculum.
* Participate fully in departmental meetings and wider school initiatives, supporting colleagues.

* You possess a genuine passion for Design & Technology and a commitment to its effective delivery.
* You demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, cultivating a positive learning atmosphere.
* You are adaptable and proactive, eager to embrace new teaching methodologies and technologies.
* You are a highly organised individual, capable of planning and executing engaging lessons.
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are ready to make a significant impact from day one.
* You are a collaborative team player, keen to contribute to a thriving departmental culture.
