Dunbar Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Design and Technology to lead a thriving department within a welcoming secondary school located in Buckinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to take on a leadership role on a one-year fixed-term contract, commencing in September.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the Design and Technology department, fostering a culture of innovation and high achievement.
• Develop and deliver an engaging curriculum that inspires students' creativity and practical skills.
• Oversee the effective use of resources and facilities within the department.
• Support and mentor teaching staff, promoting professional development.
• Drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning within Design and Technology.
About You:
• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience in teaching Design and Technology at secondary level.
• Demonstrated leadership potential or experience.
• A passion for Design and Technology and a commitment to student success.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
