About the Role
A dedicated school is seeking an inspirational English Teacher to join their thriving secondary department on a long-term, permanent basis from September 2026. This pivotal role involves delivering a dynamic English curriculum across key stages, igniting a passion for literature and language in every student. Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons that challenge and inspire secondary pupils.
* Assess and monitor student progress effectively, providing timely and constructive feedback.
* Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to optimal learning and personal growth.
* Actively contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the English department's curriculum and resources.
* Uphold the school's robust safeguarding policies and promote the well-being of all students.
* Encourage a lifelong passion for reading, writing, and critical thinking skills in young learners.

About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or experienced professional (MPS/UPS).
* You possess a genuine enthusiasm for English literature, language, and the power of communication.
* You demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, capable of fostering an engaging and disciplined learning space.
* You are committed to continuous professional development and implementing best practice methodologies.
* You have a comprehensive understanding of the secondary English curriculum and assessment frameworks.
* You are an inspiring communicator, skilled at building strong rapport with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
