About the Role
A supportive school in the Brentwood area is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide tailored, individualised assistance to a primary-aged pupil with complex special educational needs. This vital role focuses on fostering a positive learning environment and enabling significant progress for a pupil with needs that may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, or sensory impairments. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, with opportunities for daily supply, long-term, or even a permanent engagement within the primary phase.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support tailored to the specific and complex needs of a primary pupil.
* Assist with the effective implementation of the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Foster a strong, positive rapport with the pupil, promoting their engagement and well-being.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external therapists to ensure a holistic support approach.
* Contribute to the creation of an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
* Support the pupil's personal care routines and independence where required.

About You
* You possess proven experience working with primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs, particularly complex needs such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to support pupil development.
* You are a proactive and adaptable individual, capable of responding effectively to diverse learning styles.
* You have strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and external professionals.
* You are committed to continuous professional development and making a tangible difference to a pupil's life.
* You are available for an immediate start and seeking a rewarding role in the Brentwood area.
