About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to step into various classrooms, providing essential support for learning across different subjects during teacher absences. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the continuity of education and maintain a positive, purposeful atmosphere for our pupils. We offer flexible opportunities, including long-term and short-term arrangements, or daily supply, allowing you to find the perfect fit within our supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise classes across different subjects in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Ensure students are focused on and engaged with pre-set work.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding.
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging their participation and respect.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and any incidents.

About You
• Proven experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, able to respond calmly to changing classroom dynamics.
• Strong organisational abilities, ensuring smooth transitions between lessons.
• A commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere.
• Possess a genuine passion for supporting student learning and development.
