This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a well-established school in East London, focusing on primary-aged pupils. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering therapeutic relationships, effectively managing challenging behaviours, and delivering engaging, tailored lessons within a specialist SEMH environment or PRU setting. We are seeking professionals interested in long-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, with an immediate start available for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum.
* Establish strong, therapeutic relationships with pupils, fostering trust and positive engagement.
* Proactively manage challenging behaviours using de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
* Contribute to the creation of individualised learning plans and progress reports for pupils.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere where every child can thrive.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience working with primary-aged pupils.
* Have a proven track record of supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Demonstrate exceptional behaviour management skills and a calm, resilient approach.
* Exhibit a deep understanding of therapeutic approaches to education and child development.
* Be passionate about making a significant difference to the lives of vulnerable children.
