Year R Teacher

Dunbar Education is excited to partner with a thriving, centrally located primary school in Luton and is looking to welcome an enthusiastic and dedicated Year R Teacher to our team. This role requires an experienced teacher ready to take on full planning and teaching responsibilities, delivering high-quality education and fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. The school is looking for a Year R teacher full-time from the February half term until the end of July.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full Classroom Responsibilities. Plan, prepare, and deliver effective and inspiring lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Attendance at weekly staff training on Tuesdays and team meetings on Wednesdays after school is required.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, collaboration, and respect.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
  • Maintain regular, open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well-being.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching in a Reception or early years setting is preferred.
  • Ideally available for full-time work, though part-time applicants may also be considered.
  • Must be available for a face-to-face interview.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an adaptable approach to teaching, and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
