As a Year 6 Teacher, you'll guide pupils through their final year of primary school, preparing them not only for their SATs but for the exciting journey to secondary school. You'll:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum, with a focus on English, Maths, and SATs preparation.
  • Help pupils develop their independence, critical thinking, and resilience as they prepare for the next stage of their education.
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and encouraged.
  • Assess and monitor progress, providing feedback that helps pupils grow academically and personally.
  • Engage with parents and carers to ensure a strong home-school connection, supporting pupil success from every angle.
  • Collaborate with your colleagues to share best practices and ensure a consistent, high-quality education for all pupils.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 6 months of teaching experience, preferably in upper Key Stage 2.
  • A valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A deep understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and the ability to help pupils succeed academically and emotionally.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
  • A passion for teaching, a positive attitude, and the resilience to thrive in a busy primary school setting.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
