Position: Full-Time, Year 6 Class Teacher
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Year 6 Class Teacher to join the team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, have high expectations for all pupils, and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a love of learning. You will play a pivotal role in preparing pupils for their transition to secondary education, ensuring they leave us as confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, where every child feels valued and supported in their learning journey.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil well-being and academic success.
  • Contribute to the spiritual life of the school, participating in collective worship, prayer, and school liturgies.
  • Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments, including SATs, with a focus on promoting resilience and confidence.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in teaching KS2, preferably Year 6.
  • A strong understanding of the primary curriculum, including preparation for SATs.
  • A commitment to the ethos and values of a Catholic education, with the ability to support the spiritual development of pupils.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A passion for teaching and a dedication to fostering a love of learning in all pupils.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
