Year 5 Class Teacher - Hemel Hempstead

We are looking for an extremely knowledgeable Year 5 Teacher that can set the foundations for a successful academic future. You would need to prepare the students for SATS and be emotionally and academically mature and skilful to guide and support them throughout the year.

You would need to be resilient, be able to control the behaviour in the classroom, knowledgeable in a variety of subjects, creative and a forward-thinker.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-level lessons and deliver them to the students heling them improve their skills and set foundations for future studies and essays (SATS).
  • Differentiate the learning styles for students to ensure the needs of the individuals are met.
  • Assess the student's progression and report to students, parents and co-teachers on the abilities making sure they are where they need to be academically.
  • Establish and control the behaviour of the classroom and identify if a safeguarding line is crossed to report it.

Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status or Equivalent qualification.
  • Experience teaching upper Key Stage 2 in Primary Schools.
  • Complete understanding of the Year 5 Curriculum
  • Resilience and ability to adapt with new teaching methods and also the needs of the students.
  • Providing a safe space in the classroom and ensuring you are highlighting anything concerning.
