Year 1 Class Teacher

We are supporting a Primary School in Hertford, Hertfordshire that is looking for a Year 1 Class Teacher.

The Year 1 teaching team works closely with colleagues in EYFS to ensure a smooth transition for children as they move towards a more structured learning approach by the end of Year 1. Throughout this transition, the focus remains on maintaining a joyful and enriching learning environment.

The ideal candidate will bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a fresh perspective to the team, while keeping the children at the heart of everything. This is a full-time teaching position, but we are open to considering a job-share for the right candidate.

Responsibilites:

  • Planning and marking class work
  • Delivering high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Feedback to the parents and collaegues
  • Safeguarding and reporting any possible safeugarding concerns
  • Create a nurturing and great learning environment
