Teaching Assistant, Wellingborough.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a fantastic secondary school in Wellingborough. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and pastoral needs of our students, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students, both inside and outside the classroom, with a focus on addressing individual learning needs.
Assist in the management of challenging behaviours, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Offer pastoral care and well-being support to students, promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere within the school.
Collaborate with teaching staff to implement effective strategies for the development of students' social and emotional skills.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as needed.
Work closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to ensure that the specific needs of students are met.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly working with teenagers.
A passion for supporting students' academic and personal development.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
A commitment to promoting an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics.
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
Start Date:
The successful candidate must be available to start in January 2023.
