Early Years Specialist - Primary School in Slough
Are you a dedicated and passionate Early Years Specialist with experience supporting pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL)? We are working on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Slough, looking for a skilled professional to join the Early Years team and make a real impact on young learners.
About the Role:
As an Early Years Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting children in the EYFS, helping them develop key learning and social skills. A significant part of this role will involve working with EAL pupils, ensuring they receive the language support they need to thrive in a nurturing and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Early Years pupils, helping them build confidence and key learning skills
- Provide targeted support for children with EAL, developing their language and communication abilities
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities and ensure inclusivity
- Create a warm, engaging, and structured learning environment where all children feel valued
- Support early language development through play-based learning and interactive activities
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working in an Early Years setting (Nursery or Reception)
- Knowledge of EAL strategies to support language development
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (desirable but not essential)
