About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant (EYFS Specialist) to join a welcoming primary school in High Wycombe. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and a commitment to supporting young learners in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging EYFS activities that promote learning and development.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, ensuring all children receive the guidance they need.
  • Work closely with class teachers and the EYFS lead to implement structured learning plans.
  • Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assist with assessments and observations to track progress and inform planning.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress.
  • Support children with early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Experience working with EYFS-aged children in a school or nursery setting.
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A nurturing and patient approach to working with young children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
