About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant (EYFS Specialist) to join a welcoming primary school in High Wycombe. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and a commitment to supporting young learners in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging EYFS activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support, ensuring all children receive the guidance they need.
- Work closely with class teachers and the EYFS lead to implement structured learning plans.
- Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Assist with assessments and observations to track progress and inform planning.
- Develop strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress.
- Support children with early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
Requirements
- Experience working with EYFS-aged children in a school or nursery setting.
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A nurturing and patient approach to working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
