Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Borehamwood. This role involves providing classroom support, working with individual or small groups of pupils, and assisting the class teacher in daily tasks. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and able to work independently when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher with the preparation and delivery of lessons.
  • Assisting pupils with their learning, ensuring they remain focused and on-task.
  • Supporting children with additional needs, providing tailored help when necessary.
  • Assisting in the management of classroom resources and materials.
  • Supervising students during break times and outings as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or working in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in working with children.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) are desirable but not essential.
