Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support

Job Description

Dunbar Education are looking for a Qualified Behaviour Specialist to come into one of our partnered schools to support the children one-to-one and in group sessions to raise behaviour and academic levels.

You must have a minimum of 6 months experience in a UK Primary School to apply.

This position is long-term and has potential to turn into a permanent position.

Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:30am-3:30pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Behaviour Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils with behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively with their learning.
  • Classroom Assistance: Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson preparations, ensuring a smooth and efficient learning environment.
  • Individualised Plans: Develop and implement tailored behaviour management strategies to support individual pupil needs.
  • Monitoring Progress: Track and report on pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to ensure cohesive support strategies.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Prior experience working with children with behavioural needs in a school setting is essential.
  • Empathy and Patience: A compassionate and patient approach to working with children who require additional support.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team of educators.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the curriculum and ability to build strong relationships
