A primary school is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism. As well as providing effective 1:1 support, you will also be required to run intervention groups to raise attainment with numeracy and literacy.
Ideally you will have experience of supporting non-verbal children to improve the pupil's speech development. Working 1:1 you will enable the pupil to access the primary curriculum, manage triggers and build a strong rapport to keep the pupil engaged with their learning.
Due to the nature of this role, you must have a minimum of 6 months experience working within a primary school.
