Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Wellingburough

Salary: £85 - £95 per day

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Start Date: September 2024

Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. The chosen candidate will work closely with teachers to support pupils' learning and development, ensuring a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and activities.
  • Provide individualized support to pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, offering feedback to teachers.
  • Support the social and emotional growth of pupils.
  • Supervise pupils during breaks and school activities.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
