Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support:
- Work closely with teachers to provide support to individual students or small groups.
- Assist in the implementation of lesson plans and educational activities.
Student Engagement:
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in class activities.
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support:
- Provide assistance to students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement support strategies.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Assist in the assessment of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements and challenges.
Behavior Management:
- Support the maintenance of positive behavior within the classroom.
- Implement behavior management strategies in collaboration with teaching staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students.
