Dunbar Education is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Music Teacher to join an Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 mixed academy in Poole.

Position Details

Job Title: Music Teacher
Location: Poole
School Type: Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 mixed academy
Contract: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: January 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience (MPS/UPS)

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join a vibrant Music department. The successful candidate will have the chance to inspire students through the power of music and contribute to the school's thriving arts program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Foster a love of music and creativity among students
  • Assess and monitor student progress in both practical and theoretical aspects of music
  • Organize and participate in school concerts, performances, and extracurricular music activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall music curriculum

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Music Teacher with a passion for music education
  • Have strong knowledge of various musical genres and teaching methodologies
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
  • Show commitment to fostering student engagement and achievement
  • Be able to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Be resident in the UK and have right to work
