The Role

Position: Teacher of MFL (French and Spanish)
Start Date: January 2025 or ASAP thereafter
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL teacher to join a successful Languages department. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both French and Spanish to GCSE level and inspire a love of languages in our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and challenging French and Spanish lessons to students aged 11-16 (potentially to KS5 within specialism)
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and teaching resources
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven track record of teaching French and Spanish at secondary level - applications from both ECTs or more experienced colleagues are both welcomed
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for language education
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
