Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role offers the potential for Head of Year responsibility for the right candidate, providing an excellent opportunity for career progression. As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality Maths lessons to students across key stages, fostering a love for the subject and promoting academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver outstanding Maths lessons, catering to the diverse needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and achievement.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to inspire and challenge students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure all students reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
- For the right candidate, take on additional responsibilities as Head of Year, providing pastoral care and leadership to a designated year group.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in Maths or a related field.
- Ability to teach Maths at the secondary level, with a commitment to academic excellence. Applications from both ECTs and more experienced teachers are warmly welcomed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to the wider school community and potential for middle leadership roles.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
