Job Title: Teacher of Food Technology
Location: Peterborough
Contract Term: Full-Time
Salary: £30,000.00 - £46,525.00 Annually
TLR Available: For suitable candidates interested in additional leadership responsibilities
Start Date: 01/01/25 or sooner

Are you a passionate and innovative Food Technology teacher looking for a new opportunity? We are excited to offer a role for a dedicated Teacher of Food Technology at a vibrant school in Peterborough.

About the Role:

As the Teacher of Food Technology, you will be responsible for delivering inspiring and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5. You will play a key role in helping students develop essential culinary skills, an understanding of nutrition, and an appreciation for the role of food in culture and health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons for Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Create and implement dynamic lesson plans that foster practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Food Technology curriculum and resources.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities related to Food Technology, such as cooking clubs or school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and current food trends.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A passion for inspiring students and promoting a healthy, creative approach to food.
