Role Details
  • Position: Teacher of English and Media Studies
  • Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover
  • Duration: Initially until the end of the academic year, with potential for extension to a full year
  • Start Date: January 2025
  • Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English and Media Studies across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students
  • Monitor and support students' progress, providing regular feedback
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and teaching materials
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Has a passion for English and Media Studies
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills
  • Is committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love for learning
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is adaptable and willing to contribute to the wider school community
