Supply Teacher

Dunbar Education are looking for Supply Teachers to recruit for short and long term in the Primary Schools we partner with in Bedfordshire.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in a Primary School (minimum 6 months), have excellent knowledge of the curriclum and the versatility to go into different year groups teaching various pre-planned lessons.

You need to have a DBS on the update service to apply.

The main responsibilites:

  • Teach planned lessons to various year groups
  • Maintain good standards of behaviour within the classroom
  • Set up and tidy and classroom
  • Feedback to the relevant teachers on the pupils work

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of the UK curriculum
  • Ability to teach in various year groups
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to attend short notice and cover absences

You will be required to have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teaching Status)
  • Experience of 6 months minimum working in a classroom
  • Availability to work short notice and cover both short and long term absences
  • Classroom management skills and ability to control behaviour
  • Knowledge of different subjects to be adaptable
