Dunbar Education is seeking dedicated Tutors to join our team at a SEN School. Tutors play a vital role in supporting the development and learning of students with special educational needs. You'll work closely with teachers, leading small groups or providing one-to-one support, helping to create a positive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored, student-centred lessons in small groups or one-to-one settings.
- Positively manage and support behaviour, following the school's ethos.
- Help maintain an attractive and organised classroom environment.
- Serve as a role model for students, upholding the school's values and professionalism.
- Assist with pastoral care and support strong relationships between families, staff, and students.
- Organise and oversee educational visits, including risk assessments.
- Contribute to the school's continuous improvement and self-evaluation processes.
- Engage in professional development and training opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong ability to support children with SEN in educational settings.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Team player with the ability to lead when necessary.
- Reflective, eager to develop professionally, and able to manage stress.
- A degree in a core subject (preferred) and experience in supporting the primary or secondary curriculum for SEN students (essential).
- Additional SEN-related qualifications (desirable).
