Role Overview:
We are looking for a caring and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team. This role involves working closely with school staff to support the unique learning needs of students with SEN, helping them to reach their full potential in a supportive and secure setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer personalised support to SEN pupils in both individual and group settings.
- Help plan and deliver tailored learning activities.
- Promote a supportive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.
- Work with teachers, therapists, and parents to carry out individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Track and document student progress, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND, either in a school or similar setting.
- 6 months plus experience working in a UK Primary School.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are preferred but not essential.
- The ability to work in a team.
