Role Overview:
As a SEN Behaviour Support Mentor, your role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Reception-aged child (5 years old) with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. • Assisting with the personal care and well-being of the student as required.
  • Communicating effectively to provide regular feedback to teachers, parents, and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • At least six months of SEN experience in the UK, particularly in behaviour support.
  • Child enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in SEN support.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work in a school committed to providing high-quality education and support.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment, with ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Chance to make a real difference in the lives of students with SEN and contribute to their personal & academic growth.
  • Potential for the role to become permanent if the right candidate is found.
