SEN Support Staff and SEN Teachers - September Start!
About Us: Dunbar Education is dedicated to providing exceptional support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are seeking passionate and experienced SEN Support Staff and SEN Teachers to join our team in September. Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience working with SEN.
- Certification: SEN Teachers must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- DBS: Must have a DBS on the update service.
- Skills: Experience with various SEN needs such as ADHD, ASD, PMLD, and behaviour challenges is highly desirable.
SEN Support Staff Job Description: As a member of our SEN Support Staff, you will:
- Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the class teacher.
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
- Assist class teachers with maintaining student records.
- Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
- Prepare and organise classroom materials and learning resources.
- Ensure the classroom environment is conducive to learning and is appropriately managed.
SEN Teacher Job Description: As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff and parents.
- Assess and record students' progress systematically and keep records to check work is understood and completed.
- Manage the behaviour of students in line with the school's policies and encourage positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to support the needs of students.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
