SEN Specialist Teacher / Tutor
Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher/Tutor to join our team at a Secondary SEN School in Towcester. In this role, you will provide individualised 1:1 support and guidance to students aged 11-16, fostering their participation in the learning process and assisting them in achieving their unique goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Deliver 1:1 support to boost student engagement.
- Ensure a personalized and inclusive educational experience.
- Develop and implement tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Establish clear learning objectives based on prior achievements.
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to promote progress.
- Effectively manage and address behavioral challenges.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies.
- Stay informed about developments and best practices in SEN education.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in UK SEN settings.
- A genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Patience and resilience in challenging situations.
- Commitment to full-time, term-time work.
