Secondary Teacher

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team at a thriving academy located in East London. Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, fostering a love of science and encouraging academic excellence.

-Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the Science Department to design and implement a rigorous and innovative curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those with SEN and EAL.

- Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support student development.

- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, effectively managing behaviour and supporting the wellbeing of all students.

- Extracurricular Activities: Contribute to the wider life of the school by organising and participating in science-related extracurricular activities, including clubs, trips, and competitions.

- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential.

- Subject Specialisation: Degree in a science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).

- Experience: Previous experience teaching science at Key Stage 3 and 4 is highly desirable.

- Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to inspire and engage students, and a commitment to inclusive education.
