Job Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced primary school teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom practice that accommodates all children and their varied needs
  • Exercise flexibility to accommodate changes in work priorities
  • Balance tasks and resources effectively, anticipating workload and planning ahead
  • Think clearly and logically to solve problems, making appropriate referrals when necessary

Further Details About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Fully implement the curriculum as outlined in school policies
  • Create a positive, stimulating, and innovative learning environment
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom with appropriate displays and resources
  • Plan and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils
  • Develop effective strategies to overcome barriers to learning
  • Use assessment for learning to sustain effective teaching
  • Review and adjust methods for planning, delivery, and recording of the curriculum
  • Monitor and report pupil attainment to the Executive Headteacher, Headteacher, and Board
  • Assist in selecting curriculum resources
  • Proactively manage personal professional development
  • Effectively manage pupil behavior, promoting mutual respect
  • Facilitate parental involvement in teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with support staff and other teachers to plan for a range of needs
  • Encourage teamwork and share new teaching initiatives
  • Take a leading role in school development when required
  • Support and mentor NQTs and students on teaching practice
  • Assist with INSET for staff and governors when required
  • Work with Hackney Education on local and national curriculum initiatives
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Executive Headteacher and Headteacher
