Phonics Teacher

Start Date - September, full-time

Dunbar Education are in partnership with a Ofsted 'Good' Primary School within Bedford and they are looking for a experienced Phonics teacher to raise attainment in a Key Stage 1 class.

The requirements to apply for the positon:

  • Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience working within Primary schools in the UK.
  • Has experience teaching Phonics.
  • Has experience delivering the Read, Write, Inc specification (desirable).
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • Legal right to work in the UK

The main duties of the role:

  • Raise attainment through various teaching methods
  • Plan and prepare phonics based lessons - focusing on all modules
  • Mark and feedback to the class, parents and teachers (if required)
  • Run 1:1 and group interventions
