Music Teacher - Alternative Provision (Milton Keynes)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Contract: Full-time / Permanent

Are you a passionate and resilient Music Teacher looking to make a real impact in an alternative provision setting? We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider in Milton Keynes that supports students aged 11-19 who face challenges in mainstream education.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Music Teacher with strong behaviour management skills to engage and inspire students with diverse needs. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging music lessons, helping students develop their musical skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and creative music lessons tailored to individual learning needs

  • Use innovative approaches to inspire students and foster a love for music

  • Manage behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with staff to support students' emotional and academic development

  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their learning journey

Requirements

  • Strong behaviour management skills are essential

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential

  • Experience working in an alternative provision, PRU, SEN, or challenging mainstream setting is advantageous

  • Passion for supporting students with diverse needs and abilities

  • A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
