The Role:
As a Media Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will help students develop critical thinking, creativity, and media literacy skills, preparing them for exams and beyond. We are looking for a teacher who is dedicated to inspiring young minds, has a strong understanding of the media curriculum, and is able to foster a stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver effective and engaging lessons in media studies.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Support students in developing key media skills, including critical analysis, media production, and understanding of media theory.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and department, including extracurricular activities.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
The Ideal Candidate:
You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) working towards QTS.
A degree in Media Studies, Journalism, or a related subject.
A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and engage students.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to continuous professional development.
Experience teaching Media at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is desirable but not essential.
