The Role:
As a Media Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will help students develop critical thinking, creativity, and media literacy skills, preparing them for exams and beyond. We are looking for a teacher who is dedicated to inspiring young minds, has a strong understanding of the media curriculum, and is able to foster a stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective and engaging lessons in media studies.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

  • Support students in developing key media skills, including critical analysis, media production, and understanding of media theory.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and department, including extracurricular activities.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) working towards QTS.

  • A degree in Media Studies, Journalism, or a related subject.

  • A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and engage students.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development.

  • Experience teaching Media at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is desirable but not essential.
