Contract: Full-time, term-time only

Role Overview:
We are seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the team in Key Stage 2 (KS2). The role involves working closely with pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing targeted support to enhance their learning experience. You will be instrumental in helping these pupils develop their confidence, independence, and skills, working alongside our skilled teaching staff to implement tailored learning strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with high SEN needs in KS2
  • Assist in implementing individualized learning plans and adapting activities to suit pupils' specific needs
  • Support pupils in managing their social and emotional development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive and positive classroom environment
  • Record and monitor progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude towards adapting to the needs of individual pupils
