We are currently seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join the team and provide 1:1 support to a pupil, helping them achieve their full potential.




The Role

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil in Key Stage 2, adapting learning activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Support the pupil's social and emotional development, ensuring they feel safe and valued.
  • Implement strategies to promote the pupil's independence and confidence in their learning.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to monitor and report on the pupil's progress.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with parents and caregivers, offering regular updates and feedback.



About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally with a focus on 1:1 support.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in child development or education support (desirable but not essential).
