A Primary school based in Aylesbury is a thriving and inclusive school committed to fostering a love for learning from an early age. We are looking for a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support the class, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for our youngest pupils.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering high-quality lessons and activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Lead small group activities and interventions to support children's learning and development.
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and maintain a stimulating learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and contributing to written reports.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.

Requirements:

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience working in an early years or primary school setting, ideally with Reception-aged children.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for supporting young children's education.
