Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing a therapeutic approach to support the emotional and educational needs of pupils with SEN.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with pupils, providing guidance and support.
- Fulfilling duties akin to a mentor rather than a traditional SEN Teaching Assistant role.
- Working with various age pupils to facilitate their learning and development.
Requirements:
- Experience working within a Special Educational Needs environment, particularly with pupils experiencing SEMH,ASD,ADHD,SLD etc.
- A therapeutic approach to supporting pupils, with a focus on their emotional well-being.
- Implement positive reinforcement strategies effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
- Access to your own vehicle and confidence in driving school vehicles for off-site activities.
- Commitment to working fixed hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
