Job Description

Dunbar Education is recruitng an Early Years Practitioner for a primary school based in Northampton. They are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their team and make a difference in the early development of children.

Role Overview: As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in the development and growth of children in the school's care. You will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can learn through play and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver a range of activities that support children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
  • Observe and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment that complies with all health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of practitioners to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Attend training and professional development sessions as required.

Requirements:

  • A recognised qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool, or similar setting.
  • A deep understanding of child development and early years curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, positive, and flexible attitude.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
