Full-Time Drama Teacher - Maternity Cover
Contract Type: Full-Time, Maternity Cover
Start Date: After May Half Term

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join our vibrant and welcoming school on a full-time maternity cover contract, starting after the May half term. As a Drama Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students to develop their creative talents and to engage with the world through performance and theatre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Drama lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Develop students' creativity and confidence through a variety of theatre and performance techniques
  • Promote student engagement in extracurricular drama activities, including school productions and clubs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Performing Arts department to enhance the overall learning experience
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to support academic and personal growth
  • Contribute to the positive, inclusive, and innovative school community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A passion for Drama and the performing arts
  • Strong subject knowledge across Drama and Theatre Studies
  • Ability to create a dynamic and inspiring learning environment
  • Experience teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 and 4 is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
