Job Description:

We are seeking a talented DT Specialist with a preference for Engineering to join a well-regarded school in Leadenhall, Milton Keynes on a part-time supply basis, starting in November. The role involves teaching 4 days a week, with full teaching responsibilities, and provides an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Design and Technology professional to inspire and engage students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons with a focus on Engineering to students across different year groups.
  • Support students in developing practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and creative thinking through hands-on projects and theoretical learning.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and productive learning environment in compliance with school policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the department to contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and school events as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Design Technology, ideally with a focus on Engineering.
  • Experience teaching Engineering or related subjects to secondary school students.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
