We are currently working with a reputable Secondary School in Northampton that is seeking a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join their team. This initial temporary role offers a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to progress into a permanent position within the school.
Job Description: As a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students within the school. You will support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in implementing safeguarding policies and procedures and be a point of contact for staff and students regarding safeguarding concerns. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Providing training and guidance to staff on safeguarding matters.
- Collaborating with external agencies and professionals to support students in need.
- Conducting thorough assessments and investigations when safeguarding concerns arise.
- Maintaining accurate records of safeguarding incidents and actions taken.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Relevant experience in a similar safeguarding or child protection role.
- Knowledge of current safeguarding legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
