Job Description:
Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school community in Bracknell. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the continuity of learning by overseeing classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise pre-planned lessons and ensure a positive learning environment is maintained.
- Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies, fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials effectively, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
- Support students with their learning, providing assistance and guidance as required.
- Liaise with teaching staff and support colleagues to ensure smooth delivery of the curriculum.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as registering students and collecting completed work.
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of students at all times.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working within the UK education sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptability and resilience to manage varying classroom situations effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to child welfare.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and appropriate DBS clearance.
