We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Computer Science Teacher to join an exceptional team at a highly regarded school in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons that align with the national curriculum, catering to the needs of students with varying abilities.

  2. Student Progress: Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions to support their academic growth and achievement.

  3. Practical Skills Development: Facilitate hands-on experiences, projects, and activities to develop students' practical skills in programming, computational thinking, and problem-solving.

  4. Effective Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering student engagement, curiosity, and respect for one another.

  5. Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments, coursework, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning outcomes.

  6. Extracurricular Engagement: Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs, robotics teams, and technology competitions, to further enrich students' learning experiences.

  7. Collaboration and Professional Development: Collaborate with colleagues, actively participating in departmental meetings, sharing best practices, and engaging in continuous professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the national curriculum requirements for Computer Science.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary level
  • Enthusiasm for technology and a passion for staying up-to-date with advancements in the field.
  • Dedication to the holistic development of students, including their digital literacy, problem-solving skills, and computational thinking abilities.
